Watch Out Mr Devgan, Tom Cruise Is Behind You

The Diwali clash between Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil(ADHM) and Shivaay has  completely overlooked  the looming presence of Hollywood’s topgun Tom Cruise who stealthily enters Indian theatres a week before Diwali.

According to informed sources Viacom 18 who exhibit Paramount Pictures’ releases in India, have planned a mammoth release for the new Tom Cruise starrer Jack Reacher: Never Go Back on 21 September, the week before the two Bollywood biggies hit theatres.

Says a source, “A film starring Tom Cruise is not a film. It is an event.Viacom 18 has dubbed the film in several Indian languages and will be releasing  it in several Indian languages along with the original English version. The action sequences in the film are expected to be daring even by Cruise’s standards. They are bound to give Shivaay the shivers.”

However producer and trade guru Pritish Nandy and trade analyst Amod Mehra  feel Cruise cannot cannot control Devgan’s star power in Bollywood .

Adds Amod Mehra, “I think Jack Reacher should come after Diwali so that it doesn’t get eclipsed by the two big Bollywood releases.”
