As we enter the Fall season at Netflix, there are plenty of exciting new and returning shows. Headlined by the final episodes of Wednesday season 2, September also brings the much-anticipated new series House of Guinness, and so much more.
Summer 2025 was a pretty successful season for Netflix. From shows like The Sandman and Wednesday, to new hits like Kpop Demon Hunters, it’s been a Summer of fantasy. Looking ahead to September, there are a few standout projects, such as Wednesday Season 2, Part 2, House of Guinness, and a new animated series from a writer of Rick & Morty.
Let’s take a look at what lies ahead, and if you want to see the full lineup for September 2025, keep it locked here on What’s on Netflix.
Most Anticipated New Netflix Original Series Coming in September
Wednesday Season 2, Part 2
Coming to Netflix: September 3rd
September kicks off big. After a hugely successful return to action for Wednesday in August, the season will return for its final four episodes. Part 1 ended on a cliffhanger, seeing Wednesday Addams get thrown out of Willow Hill Psychiatric Hospital by Tyler in his Hyde form. Bloodied and gravely injured, Wednesday narrates: “I’ve always dreamed of looking death in the face. But in my final moments, all I can hear is my mother’s words ringing in my ears. Maybe I have made everything worse. Much worse.”
The new episodes will also mark the return of Gwendoline Christie’s fan-favorite Nevermore Principal Weems. How is she back? Let’s wait and see!
Beauty in Black Season 2
Coming to Netflix: September 11th
Tyler Perry has been hugely prolific at Netflix over the years, from A Fall From Grace to Straw, to The Six Triple Eight. His sizzling drama Beauty in Black first aired in October 2024. In its follow-up season, Kimmie (Taylor Polidore Williams) is about to discover a whole new level of power after marrying Bellarie patriarch Horace (Ricco Ross). Expect the drama and betrayals to be shifted up a gear or two.
Black Rabbit
Coming to Netflix: September 18th

The first thing that stands out about Black Rabbit is its two leads: Jude Law (The Talented Mr. Ripley, Sherlock Holmes) and Jason Bateman (Ozark). The upcoming limited series takes viewers deep into New York City nightlife, exploring the two brothers central to its chaotic, incomparable scene.
The series takes place when a rising-star restaurateur and owner of the Black Rabbit is unwittingly thrust into New York’s dangerous underground after loan sharks chase his brother. Although the pictures for this new series, I suspect, aren’t doing it justice (why do they look so dark and washed), thankfully, the most recent trailer gives us hope this could be a banger and a worthy Jason Bateman successor to Ozark.
Billionaires’ Bunker
Coming to Netflix: September 19th
Something immediately striking about Billionaires’ Bunker is that it comes from the creators of Money Heist, Álex Pina and Esther Martínez Lobato. From the trailer, it looks a lot like a Spanish version of Fallout. In a pending global catastrophe, a group of billionaires are forced to enter a luxury bunker designed to withstand anything thrown at it. As time passes, and cabin fever sets in, tensions rise and their personalities and secrets begin to surface.
The 8-episode series stars Miren Ibarguren, Joaquín Furriel, Natalia Verbeke, Carlos Santos, Pau Simón, Alicia Falcó, and Montse Guallar.
Haunted Hotel
Coming to Netflix: September 25th
This September, long-time Rick & Morty writer Matt Roller introduces viewers to Haunted Hotel, an all-new animated series where you never get a quiet night sleep, no matter what room you’re in. The comedy series takes place in — you guessed it — a haunted hotel, where the owner, a single mother of two, struggles to run the premises when ghosts terrorise the guests. However, she does get some help from her estranged brother, now a ghost himself.
Haunted Hotel stars Will Forte, Eliza Coupe, Skyler Gisondo, Natalie Palamides, and Jimmi Simpson. If Roller can get even a tiny percentage of the Rick & Morty fanbase on board, this series is bound to be a big hit.
Alice in Borderland Season 3
Coming to Netflix: 23rd September
When it comes to incredibly brutal, Battle Royale-style shows, Squid Game takes the crown. But we mustn’t forget Alice in Borderland. Based on the bestselling manga series, Alice in Borderland takes place in an emptied-out version of Tokyo, where Arisu and his friends are forced to take part in sadistic games in order to survive.
Season 3 takes the story beyond the manga’s original conclusion. We’re in uncharted territory here, folks.
House of Guinness
Coming to Netflix: September 25th
House of Guinness comes from esteemed Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight. The series takes place in Dublin during the 1860s, where the powerful Guinness family grows their immense reputation. The family inherits one of the biggest and most illustrious breweries on the planet. How do they not only keep the Guinness brand alive but also grow it into the globally beloved company it is today?
The series boasts an all-star cast, not least Anthony Boyle as the iconic Arthur Guinness. Other cast members include Louis Partridge (Edward), Emily Fairn (Anne), and Fionn O’Shea (Ben).
Wayward
Coming to Netflix: September 25
Comedian and actor Mae Martin (Feel Good) created Wayward, stars in it, and serves as showrunner. Genre-bending, eerie, and inherently creepy, this 8-part limited series will no doubt also score some laughs. Set in the quaint and sleepy town of Tall Pines, the series follows two teens who escape from an academy for ‘troubled teens,’ and team with a police officer to dig into the town’s creepy, grisly secrets.
As well as Martin, the series stars Sarah Gadon, Sydney Topliffe, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Brandon Jay McLaren, and Toni Collette.
Best New Licensed Shows Coming to Netflix
Note: These releases primarily cover Netflix in the US; other regions’ availability will vary.
Orphan Black
Coming to Netflix: September 1st
Although Netflix in pretty much every other region has streamed Orphan Black in one form or another, that’s never been the case in the United States. The series first aired on BBC America and has since streamed on AMC+ predominantly, but for the first time ever, the complete series is heading to Netflix in the US.
Headlined by Tatiana Maslany, who incredibly plays not a couple of roles but at least five major roles (and a number of others) who are clones of one another. The plot kicks off when Sarah Manning witnesses the death of one of her clones and chooses to adopt her life, leading her down a dangerous path of discovery into the illegal clone procedure.
It’s a fantastic series and particularly overlooked in the US because of its limited reach on its prior platforms.
Interview with the Vampire Season 2
Coming to Netflix: September 30th
Picture: AMC
AMC shows were all meant to disappear from Netflix US in August 2025, but that didn’t happen, with a number of them getting renewals. One of them that was renewed and will be getting a new season sooner than most is Interview with the Vampire, which will see its second season, consisting of eight episodes, joining the service at the end of the month.
Based on the Anne Rice novel series, this show in particular has a very strong following online, predominantly for its LGBTQ+ representation. Season 2 of the series kicks off with Louis and Claudia traveling to Europe at the end of World War II on the hunt for fellow vampires.
Karen Kingsbury’s A Thousand Tomorrows (Season 1)
Coming to Netflix: September 1st
Finally, we’ve covered in recent years how original programming for other networks has one by one been licensed to Netflix. This year saw the first-ever Prime Video Original land on Netflix US, and in September, PureFlix’s A Thousand Tomorrows, based on the novel series by Karen Kinsbury, will join.
The series follows a guarded bull rider and an ambitious barrel racer who fall in love, knowing that they must make the most of the time they have together. If you’re awaiting Ransom Canyon season 2 or any of Netflix’s other feel-good programming, this should provide a great stopgap.
