It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia continues to pile on to one of its fan-favorite guest stars’ dark descent, with his first appearance in nine years. It’s Always Sunny season 17 is currently airing on FX and Hulu, returning after a nearly two-year absence. As of now, the first three episodes are available to stream.
In “Mac and Dennis Become EMTs,” the main It’s Always Sunny cast take on a variety of new endeavors: (unofficial) EMT work, Postmates deliveries, restaurant work, hot pepper microdosing, and really anything but running a bar. One might assume this combination of activities would lead to disaster, but it’s not the Gang that pays the price.

The Lawyer begins the episode searching the hospital for clients, signifying he’s fallen on difficult times, but it gets exponentially worse. The end of the episode sees him in front of a judge, accused of taking an ambulance for a joyride, impersonating medical professionals, and crashing the vehicle.
