Prime Video has released the official trailer and key art for Ballard, the newest spin-off in Michael Connelly’s expanding Bosch universe. Starring Maggie Q in the title role and Bosch veteran Titus Welliver returning as the iconic Harry Bosch, the 10-episode first season will debut globally on Wednesday, July 9, exclusively on Prime Video.
Set in modern-day Los Angeles, Ballard follows Detective Renée Ballard (Q) as she’s tasked with leading the LAPD’s newly formed, severely underfunded cold case division. Taking on the city’s most stubborn, unsolved crimes — from the eerie trail of a serial killer to a mystery surrounding an unidentified murder victim — Ballard is determined to bring long-overdue justice to the victims and their families. But as she digs deeper, her cases begin to expose a far more insidious threat: a dangerous conspiracy within the LAPD itself.
