Galactus From The Fantastic Four: First Steps Is a Cosmic Threat but Not a Villain
Ralph Ineson’s view of Galactus isn’t just interesting, but also a fundamental shift in how Marvel is approaching its antagonists. We’ve seen antagonists like Loki, Killmonger, and Thanos, who were all morally complex characters.
Loki was mischievous but redeemable and Killmonger was purpose-driven but employed violent methods. Meanwhile, Thanos had his plans to bring balance, even if it meant genocide. But Galactus? He isn’t here to make a point! He’s not angry and doesn’t want to prove anything either. He just exists.
