In August 2025, a war drama called China Beach became available to stream for the first time. The show, which aired 61 episodes over four seasons in the late-1980s and early-1990s, is now available to watch on Roku’s new streaming service. That said, China Beach feels like a great show for Band of Brothers fans to start streaming when they are looking for something to watch.
A show that takes place during the Vietnam War, China Beach focused on a nurse and her friends as they cope with the realities of conflict.
On top of having a fascinating-sounding concept, China Beach was respected enough to be nominated for several major awards. According to IMDb, China Beach was nominated for five Primetime Emmys, five Golden Globes, and it won a People’s Choice Award. It should also be noted that China Beach’s nominations were for huge categories like lead actress and best drama series.
All things considered, it seems like a no-brainer for anyone who enjoyed Band of Brothers to give China Beach a try.
