Ahead of the final broadcast of My Girlfriend Is the Man!, cast members Yoon San-ha, Arin, Yoo Jung-hoo, and Chuu shared their heartfelt closing remarks, filled with gratitude and bittersweet emotions.
The KBS2 Wednesday–Thursday drama, based on the hit Naver Webtoon by massstar, follows the chaotic romance between Kim Ji-eun, a girlfriend who suddenly transforms into a handsome man overnight, and Park Yoon-jae, a devoted boyfriend unwilling to give her up. The series has also enjoyed major success abroad, consistently ranking in the Top 5 of the Hallyu and Asia popularity charts on Japan’s Docomo-owned OTT platform Lemino through episode 10, proving its hot popularity right up until the finale.

Yoon San-ha, who plays the devoted and conflicted Park Yoon-jae, expressed, “When we began filming, I was nervous and excited, and now that it’s ending, I feel empty and sad. Through the character of Yoon-jae, I learned and grew so much—it’s an unforgettable experience. The biggest thing to look out for in the finale is how each character makes their final choice. Please watch until the end.”
Arin, who portrayed Kim Ji-eun—the girlfriend whose sudden transformation into a beautiful man tests her relationship confessed, “Thank you so much for the love you’ve given Ji-eun and this drama. From the hot summer through the cold winter, I filmed with joy and laughter. The scenes that left the deepest impression on me were Ji-eun and Yoon-jae’s first meeting on a blind date and their first kiss. I thought hard about how to express that delicate, fluttery feeling, and the director captured it so beautifully that I consider it one of the drama’s most memorable moments. The question of whether Ji-eun and Yoon-jae can protect their love until the end will be the biggest point to watch in the finale.”

Yoo Jung-hoo, who played Ji-eun’s alternate persona Ji-hun, reflected, “It was an honor to work with such great staff and cast, and I’m grateful for the overwhelming love from viewers. Playing Ji-hun helped me grow both as an actor and as a person. I will continue to work hard to show many different sides of myself.”
Chuu, who brought to life Kang Min-joo, Ji-eun’s rival and Yoon-jae’s secret admirer, said, “Every time an episode aired, I rewatched it as if it were my first time, enjoying the experience all over again. I especially remember the hair-pulling fight scene—it was exhausting to film but ultimately very satisfying on screen. In the finale, what choices Min-joo makes, and how Ji-eun and Yoon-jae overcome obstacles with their love, will be key to watch.”
The production team added, “On August 28, My Girlfriend Is the Man! will come to a close. Expect passionate performances, unexpected twists, and a finale worth watching.”
The final episode of My Girlfriend Is the Man! airs on KBS2 on August 28 at 9:50 p.m.
