AMC’s Mayfair Witches will soon be available in more Netflix regions, starting in September. Additionally, we have an update on the season 2 release date for those in the United States.
Before we delve into the details, let’s provide some context. Mayfair Witches is based on the Anne Rice novels and is one of several shows within the Immortal Universe on AMC, alongside Interview with the Vampire (season 2, coming soon to Netflix US) and the upcoming titles Talamasca: The Secret Order and Night Island.
Starring Alexandra Daddario as neurosurgeon Rowan Mayfair, the series follows her discovery that she’s part of a long line of witches and all the powers that come with it. The series premiered in 2023, with its second season, the most recent installment, airing between January and March of this year.
Although primarily airing on AMC and streaming on AMC+, the series was licensed to Netflix US in August 2024. It has gone on to pick up 6.1 million views (35.8 million hours watched) on Netflix since that time, according to the Netflix Engagement Reports.
When will Season 2 of Mayfair Witches be on Netflix US?
Let’s begin with the United States. As we’ve been reporting, Netflix was initially due to lose the show’s first season in August 2025, but as we scooped, a number of their shows were subsequently renewed. This renewal has yet to be publicly publicized by either Netflix or AMC.
The renewals weren’t all consistent, though, with some extended for an additional few months, a year, or at most, a couple of years. As we’ve now learned, though, these renewals coincide with Netflix picking up new seasons. We received confirmation, for example, that Season 2 of Interview with the Vampire will be available on Netflix at the end of September, ahead of Season 3’s airing on AMC.
The release date for Mayfair Witches was pushed to December 2nd, 2026, meaning that we’re fully expecting episodes 1-8 of the show to arrive on Netflix on December 2nd, 2025. We will update you once we’ve got official confirmation.
Mayfair Witches Heading to Netflix in International Territories
We can also report that Mayfair Witches is set to arrive on Netflix internationally, too. The international rollout appears to be somewhat limited and not yet global, with only a confirmed date for Netflix in the United Kingdom. There a new notice is displaying on the page stating that the series is coming on September 11th, 2025. Only the first season is expected to land right now.
Our friends at Netflix Portal are also reporting that the series, alongside AMC’s Interview with the Vampire and Dark Winds, are set to arrive on Netflix in Latin America (specifically Brazil in this instance) in due course.
Some countries we suspect may not host the show in any capacity where other deals are in place. For example, Canada (the series is streaming on AMC+ and in part on Prime Video there) and Australia (iView, AMC+, and Prime Video again).
Will Mayfair Witches season 3 come to Netflix?
It’s a little too early to predict if and when Season 3 of Mayfair Witches will be coming to Netflix, but we can say it’s not necessarily guaranteed.
For those out of the loop, the series received its season 3 thumbs up this April and is largely expected to return to AMC sometime in late 2026. Production on the third season is scheduled to take place in Vancouver from October 14, 2025, to February 20, 2026.
