Micah Plath Emerges As New Villain On Welcome To Plathville Season 7

Welcome To Plathville season 7 has found the Plath family in an entirely new season of their lives, and with their biggest villain out of the picture, there’s been a major shift in the person who bring out the worst in the rest of the family. For years, Welcome To Plathville has featured one specific villain, no matter which side viewers fell on.

Despite many feeling that Olivia Plath, the ex-wife of eldest son Ethan Plath, wasn’t necessarily in the wrong when it came to her marriage, she was portrayed as the villain on the series. Throughout Welcome To Plathville’s run, Ethan and Olivia’s marriage has been one of the most difficult components to watch, especially in recent seasons that have seen them splintering.

While Ethan and Olivia’s marriage, which began crumbling throughout Welcome To Plathville season 5 and continued during the next season, has been fascinating to watch, it’s been difficult to see the exes struggle through their issues. Ethan, who’s fallen back in touch with his family after divorce, has become less inclined to share on Welcome To Plathville while Olivia has left the show almost entirely.

As Welcome To Plathville season 7 continues, the show has managed to angle several other family members as the more villainous of the bunch. While some like Lydia Plath and Moriah Plath have been given kinder edits in recent years, others like Veronica Peters, Micah Plath’s girlfriend, haven’t seen positive outcomes. Micah himself, however, has become far more of a villain than ever before.

Olivia Plath Has Long Been Welcome To Plathville’s Most Villainous Star

She Didn’t Deserve The Vitriol She Received

For years, Welcome To Plathville viewers have had something to say about Olivia. While Ethan’s ex-wife was typically pushing back against the way Kim and Barry Plath were behaving toward her and their children, Olivia didn’t always find herself on the right side of the fanbase. Despite many knowing that Olivia was doing her best to fit into a tough family, few gave her grace.

While Olivia spent five years married to Ethan, who she married at just 20 years old, it was clear that their relationship wasn’t often on the same page. The pair married quickly, and rather than taking their time getting to know one another, they spent the majority of their time together struggling to figure out where the other stood on fundamentals, like children and religion.

Ethan often accused Olivia of changing, and while it was clear that Olivia did change, she ultimately felt that it was for the better. Unfortunately, Ethan’s behavior was rarely highlighted in a genuinely difficult way on Welcome To Plathville. Instead, Olivia was often pushed to be the villain of the series while Ethan was simply trying to keep their marriage together on screen.

With Olivia Out Of The Family, Micah’s Behavior Has Been In The Spotlight

His Relationship With Veronica Has Been Tough

Although Welcome To Plathville has often shown the Plath family in a positive light, there are moments where the show allows their true colors to shine through. While not everything about the Plaths is negative, the majority of the time they’re on-screen, Welcome To Plathville focuses on the positive or odd aspects of their relationships. Most of their negative behavior is glossed over consistently.

With Olivia no longer being painted as the only villain in the Plath family, however, there’s been more room for others to step into the narrative role. While some have considered Moriah, Kim, or patriarch Barry to be the villain of the family, it’s become clear that through his relationship with Veronica, Micah’s become way more of a villain than anticipated.

Micah’s behavior throughout his relationship with Veronica has been strange for viewers to watch, especially when it comes to his apathy about his relationship with her. Throughout Welcome To Plathville season 6, it seemed like Micah bent to Veronica’s will and ignored his family for her benefit. Now, this season, Micah’s been doing the exact opposite. The switch in his behavior has been odd to watch.

Micah Has Become The Plath Family’s Most Difficult Sibling

His Behavior Hasn’t Been Highlighted In Detail Yet

Although Micah may not be a traditional villain in the way Kim or Olivia has been throughout the series run, Welcome To Plathville season 7 has shown a truly unlikable side of one of the middle Plath siblings. Micah’s disdain for Veronica and ability to brush off her issues has been tough to watch, especially knowing that behind the scenes, they were facing major issues.

Micah allegedly cheated on Veronica during the filming of Welcome To Plathville season 7 and prior, which made their relationship even tougher to handle as they moved through the motions of filming for the series. After finding out that Micah’s family, especially Barry, weren’t happy with her behavior and hearing more about Ethan and Olivia’s relationship, Veronica clearly felt off about Micah.

While the way Veronica’s been talking to Micah throughout Welcome To Plathville season 7 hasn’t necessarily been acceptable, it’s far more understandable when his actions become clear. Micah, who was stepping out on the relationship, has been creepily apathetic and shut down about the issues in his relationship. His villainous behavior has to be exposed soon on Welcome To Plathville.
