Sung Dong Il is joining the cast of the upcoming novel-based K-drama Flower of Death.
On August 6, it was officially confirmed that Sung Dong Il will add another upcoming K-drama to his long list of projects. The renowned actor is joining the cast of the upcoming thriller mystery series Flower of Death.
Flower of Death will tell the story of a serial killer who murders innocent people under the claim that he can cure all diseases of mankind through medical experiments. The story will focus on a lawyer who must keep the serial killer alive to save his sick daughter, and a prosecutor who is eager to give justice to the murderer’s victims. The story will be depicted from the novel of the same name by Lee Dong Gun.
Geum Sae Rok and Ryeo Un are reportedly the main leads of the upcoming K-drama.
Sung Dong Il will portray the role of a devoted father and a passionate lawyer.
Flower of Death will be produced by IO Content Group. There has been no official confirmation yet for the upcoming K-drama’s release date or broadcast platform.
Before Sung Dong Il greets viewers as a lawyer, he will first star in the upcoming K-drama Twelve, which will premiere this month. He will work alongside Ma Dong Seok, Park Hyung Sik, Seo In Guk, Lee Joo Bin, Ko Kyu Pil, and more.
The renowned actor is also included in the cast of the upcoming series Typhoon Company and Late Night Photo Studio.
Next week, Sung Dong Il is also set to star in the upcoming film Pretty Crazy with Girls Generation’s Lim Yoon A, Ahn Bo Hyun, Joo Hyun Young, Go Geon Han, and Lee Hyo Bi. He is also part of the cast of the upcoming thriller mystery film Beast.
