Elden Ring Nightreign is already considered to be one of the most intense mixes of Soulslike x Roguelite, and the introduction of the Deep of Night mode is only going to make things harder around here. Following is how it is all going to work when the update finally drops in two weeks.
Elden Ring Nightreign’s Chaos Mode, The Deep of Night, Is Finally here

According to the official blog post, there is a lot players can expect from the upcoming Deep of Night mode, and it starts with the obvious, which is way tougher foes than ever, and new special items called Depth Relics, that will be exclusive to the Deep of Night mode.

Furthermore, the blog also outlines how weapons will have multiple additional effects, but they do not come without a drawback, since they will also have detrimental effects. As one would have expected with any Chaos Mode, Deep of Night is going to loop every night as well, with the studio calling it a deep descent.
Naturally, the difficulty will increase the deeper you descend and the more you survive in the upcoming mode, making it more than important that you sharpen up your skills right now.
There will also be a rating system in this mode, which lines up with a leak we got few weeks ago, alleging that there is going to be skill-based matchmaking and different ranks, called Depths, that will help pair up different players together. There will be five different level of depths, with Depth 4 and 5 unlocking the endless battle feature for those who seek for it.
Fans are still waiting for the last Everdark Sovereign

Before Deep of Night is here, right now would be the perfect opportunity for FromSoftware to introduce the one Everdark Sovereign boss everyone has been waiting for, the Everdark Heolstor. There are a total of 8 different Nightlords in the game, and with the recent Everdark Gladeus event, it only leaves Holster of the Night to now receive the same treatment as his peers, something many fans have been waiting for.

The Deep of Night mode officially comes out on September 11, 2025, leaving just enough days for the studio to fit in one last Everdark Sovereign week-long event before it is gone forever, or at least for a while before FromSoftware decides to bring it back.
