Former EXO member Z. Tao is reportedly getting married to former SM Entertainment trainee Xu Yi Yang this October.
According to several Chinese media outlets, on August 12, former EXO member Z. Tao and former SM trainee Xu Yi Yang are preparing for their wedding in October. Z. Tao reportedly announced the news himself during a variety show recording, and the couple has been busy with preparations for a grand wedding. They’ve also been discussing wedding details like the guest list, how to include fans by offering special seating, and even potentially live-broadcasting the ceremony.
Beyond the grand scale of the wedding, people are also wondering if the other EXO members will be there.
From 2020, dating rumors followed Z. Tao and Xu Yi Yang, which they both initially denied. However, the couple officially announced their relationship in July 2024. Then, in December of the same year, they confirmed their marriage registration via social media. Although there were rumors about a pregnancy at the time, the couple chose not to comment on them.
Z. Tao began his career in 2012 as a member of the K-pop group EXO under SM Entertainment. After leaving the group in 2015, he launched his solo career in China, where he is now active as a singer and actor.
Similarly, Xu Yi Yang has ties to SM Entertainment, having been a trainee with SMROOKIES until 2018. She later started her career in China as a singer signed to Z. Tao’s company, L. TAO ENTERTAINMENT, and is now also an active singer and actress.
After discovering that a company was reselling used sanitary pads, Z. Tao entered the sanitary product business in April of this year. His new venture was an immediate success, selling approximately 450,000 boxes and generating 22.5 million yuan (about USD 35 million) in just 30 minutes.
