A recent viral post on an online community has sparked heated debate after pointing out the overwhelming presence of BTS’s Korean fandom, K-ARMYs, in the comment sections of Big Hit Music’s rookie boy group, CORTIS.

The original poster expressed frustration, claiming that the comments were suffocating and even wishing there was a way to ban them. Many of the remarks focused less on CORTIS themselves and more on comparisons to BTS:
- “I’m an ARMY, and while streaming BTS, I’ll also support you guys. You’re the company’s maknaes, so we should cheer for you.”
- “These boys were handpicked…just like BTS, who always maintained great character. Your future is bright if you stay humble.”
- “You’re so handsome! You’ll be popular like your BTS hyungs. Where did Big Hit find treasures like you?”
- “With hyungs like BTS, the younger brothers will surely conquer the world, too.”
- “I have goosebumps…you really are BTS’s successors.”
However, these comments left many netizens uncomfortable. Instead of celebrating CORTIS on their own merits, K-ARMYs were accused of overshadowing the rookie group by constantly comparing them to BTS.

Online reactions were scathing:
“I really hate this kind of behavior.”
“They do this with other idols too, always dragging BTS into the conversation.”
“It sounds like most of them are older fans…and it shows.”
“The members of CORTIS are young enough to be their kids.”
“When did ARMYs become like this?”
“Why are they so obsessed with CORTIS all of a sudden?”
As the debate continues, the situation has fueled growing resentment toward K-ARMYs for what critics describe as intrusive and condescending behavior in CORTIS’s fan spaces.
