A harsh review of aespa’s recent concert is generating heated debate after going viral online.
The review originated from a vlog posted by a small YouTuber, NOLGGUYA, who attended the concert as a non-fan. Despite her channel’s limited following, the video exploded on Nate Pann, where it amassed over 124,000 views, drawing attention from both fans and casual listeners.
The reviewer admitted she had looked forward to experiencing aespa’s big hits live, but left disappointed. She claimed much of the show relied heavily on AR (pre-recorded vocals), making it feel no different from watching the group on TV music programs.
While acknowledging some live vocals, she felt many dance-heavy tracks lacked the live performance energy expected from a major concert.
“Not sure I’d go to an aespa concert again,” she stated, even calling it a “waste of money.”
The YouTuber also pushed back on the idea that difficult choreography justified lip-syncing. She pointed out that groups like 2NE1 and WINNER managed to “kill it live” while dancing, and said aespa should aim for similar standards.
While complimenting the members’ visuals— “They were beautiful; that was it” —she criticized the setlist flow, claiming the hits were pushed to the end while much of the concert was filled with B-sides.

The blunt review struck a nerve online. Some netizens agreed, saying it reflected concerns long discussed about aespa’s live performances. Others defended the group, pointing out the physical demands of their stages and praising their charisma.
Still, the viral spread of the video highlights the growing scrutiny aespa faces as they push deeper into global markets. With expectations rising, many believe the group must prove themselves through stronger live performances to avoid further image setbacks.
