10 Best Omamori To Equip In Silent Hill F

Silent Hill f doesn’t feature any complex character builds, but it does feature omamori. These amulets, which you’ll find intermittently throughout your journey, give Hinako various buffs that can aid her in combat. You’ll start out with only one omamori slot to fill, but you can open up more slots with upgrades throughout the game.

In addition to finding omamori through exploration, you can also spend faith at shrines to draw random omamori. If you’re playing on the standard Story difficulty, you’ll likely end up with a decent amount of faith to spare, so participating in the omamori raffle can have worthwhile rewards. You aren’t likely to get every omamori in one Silent Hill f playthrough, but you might get some of the standout options that can transform your capabilities.

Horse Omamori

More Stamina When Sprinting

The utility of the Horse omamori is definitely dependent on your playstyle, but it can be very useful if you like running around in fights. While staying at close range and perfectly dodging a boss’s attacks is the more elegant strategy, running in and out of range to land attacks can be just as effective.

The problem, of course, is that sprinting will quickly drain your stamina, leaving you winded when you need to be attacking or running away again. The Horse omamori makes this balance much easier to manage by significantly decreasing the stamina consumption of sprinting in fights. You’ll know if you need this one or not, but you’ll be happy to have it on hand if you do need it.

Whale Omamori

Fewer Item Interruptions

Restoring health, sanity, and stamina is a big part of Silent Hill f‘s combat, but not every item is as quick to use as the suspiciously convenient pills. When your health is low, applying a first aid kit without backing up to a sufficient distance could ultimately prove just as risky as continuing the fight without any boost to health.

The Whale omamori reduces the risk by preventing normal attacks from interrupting the use of restorative item. This won’t give you complete impunity, especially against special boss attacks, but it will certainly make applying a bandage or drinking ramune during a fight easier.

Blessed Hand Mirror

A Second Chance At Life

It’s not your standard omamori, but the Blessed Hand Mirror is one of the most interesting things you can equip in an omamori slot. The mirror will break when you would otherwise be killed by a normal attack, fully restoring your health, sanity, and stamina when doing so.

As long as you play intelligently, you aren’t likely to die too often in Silent Hill f, so I prefer to keep omamori with active buffs equipped over the Blessed Hand Mirror. If you’d like to make it through without ever losing your life, though, the Blessed Hand Mirror could be a useful precaution.

Sakura Omamori

Healing Improvements Across The Board

Health management is critical to success in Silent Hill f, especially if you’re playing on a higher difficulty where shrines aren’t quite as generous. There are plenty of items and omamori to help you out here, but the Sakura omamori might be the most advantageous one.

Rather than buffing one particular element, the Sakura omamori enhances the effects of Health restoring items and Omamoris,” giving you a boost across the board. Equip it with another omamori that helps with health restoration, and your health bar will become significantly easier to manage.

Plum Omamori

Stamina Boost

If you’re anything like me, the resource you’ll most frequently have trouble with in Silent Hill f is stamina. Before you have any omamori to make your combat techniques more efficient, you’ll have to rely on consumables or space your attacks out to make sure you don’t end up winded in the middle of combat.

The Plum omamori can help, increasing your maximum stamina. It’s not the most exciting ability that omamori can offer, but it’s one that can make an appreciable difference in every combat encounter.

Clam Omamori

Decreased Enemy Line Of Sight

You’re often better off avoiding enemies in Silent Hill f. Fighting them will just wear out your weapons and drain your resources, and without anything like XP to worry about, you aren’t likely to benefit from the confrontation. With enemies constantly aggroing on Hinako, however, there often isn’t much of a choice.

The Clam omamori is the perfect solution. This amulet decreases enemy line of sight, making it easier to avoid triggering their aggression or break off a chase that’s already started. If you’re not interested in constant fights, the Clam could save you a lot of time in the long run.

Hawk Omamori

Faster Focus Attacks

Focus attacks are a great way to deal big damage in Silent Hill f, but charging them up also tends to leave you very vulnerable. The best way to combat this is with the Hawk omamori, which slashes the amount of time that it takes to prepare a Focus attack.

If you really want to lean into Focus attacks, you can also equip the Owl omamori, which decreases Sanity consumption as well. If you’re only going to use one, though, I’d stick with Hawk to make the biggest difference in fights.

Crow Omamori

Heal After Defeating Enemies

Conserving your healing resources is important in Silent Hill f, and that’s especially true if you’re on a higher difficulty setting or attempting to get a different ending on a repeat playthrough. The Crow omamori could be your best friend in this pursuit, restoring health a bit after defeating enemies.

While it’s not the only omamori to offer health restoration, defeating enemies is something you’ll be doing regardless of your playstyle, so it’s the most reliable option. That being said, it’s always possible that another omamori that greatly restores health for the same thing is hiding somewhere deep within the game.

Wolf Omamori

Buffing High Durability Weapons

The Wolf omamori that deals extra damage for high durability weapons in Silent Hill F

The utility of the wolf omamori will depend on how much you use high-durability weapons, but I found it very effective to keep it equipped and lean into those options. Any metal weapon that doesn’t have a slim blade tends to qualify as a high-durability weapon, which you can check in your equipment menu.

The wolf omamori makes all attacks with high-durability weapons deal additional damage. While high-durability weapons like axes are still slower than kitchen knives, you can stagger enemies more easily with them. Having the added advantage of additional damage makes it easy to kill many enemies in just a few hits, and it’ll also prevent you from burning through repair kits at a rapid rate.

Bull Omamori

Keep Heavy Attacks Coming

Bull omamori that decreases heavy attack stamina cost in Silent Hill f

If you’re leaning into high-durability weapons, you’ll also want to lean into those powerhouse heavy attacks, and that’s where the Bull omamori comes in. This omamori makes your heavy attacks consume less stamina, preventing you from becoming winded as often.

With the Bull omamori equipped, you can keep up the pressure against enemies, staggering them and then continuing to deal heavy damage while they’re stuck in place. If all goes well, you can relentlessly attack until they’re down without your stamina bar actually running out, although you’ll still need to play conservatively when facing monsters with a lot of health.

Grabbing every omamori in Silent Hill f could take some rigorous exploration or extensive shrine pulls, so you might not end up coming across some of the ten listed here in your playthrough, and you might also find other options that seem more appealing. All of these can be particularly beneficial, though. If you’re at a loss for what omamori to use and you have one of these on hand, don’t hesitate to use it.
