Despite his military service, ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo will continue to serve his fans with the release of several new projects.
Last July, Cha Eun Woo officially enlisted in the military. The idol actor will serve in the Army Military Band after he completes the basic military training. He is set to finish his mandatory military service in January 2027.
Before beginning his mandatory military service, Cha Eun Woo finished filming a concert film, a Netflix original K-drama, and a comedy movie to be released during his hiatus.
On September 24, Cha Eun Woo’s concert film, titled ‘CHA EUN-WOO VR Concert: MEMORIES,’ will be released in CGV Cinemas in South Korea. It will also hit theaters in other countries. In the concert film, Cha Eun Woo will showcase his acting, singing, and performances in the VR film.
In October, Cha Eun Woo will then star in the upcoming film The First Ride with Kang Ha Neul, Kim Young Kwang, Kang Young Seok, and SECRET’s Han Sun Hwa.
This will be the comeback of Cha Eun Woo to the big screen after three years.

Next year, Cha Eun Woo will finally make his official debut on Netflix through the original K-drama The Wonder Fools. He will star alongside Park Eun Bin, Kim Hae Sook, Choi Dae Hoon, Im Sung Jae, and Son Hyun Joo.
Cha Eun Woo officially started his career as a member of the K-pop boy group ASTRO, founded by Fantagio in 2016. Since then, he has been active as a singer and also embarked on his acting career.
He is best known for starring in the works Wonderful World, A Good Day to Be a Dog, Island, True Beauty, Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung, My ID Is Gangnam Beauty, Decibel, and more.
Upon finishing his military duties in 2027, Cha Eun Woo is anticipated to resume his work with ASTRO and his solo projects, including acting.
