Lee Jae Wook and Shin Ye Eun are joining hands to lead the romantic comedy ENA K-drama The Last-Stand Doctor.
On September 18, ENA officially confirmed that Lee Jae Wook and Shin Ye Eun will be the main leads of the webtoon-based K-drama The Last-Stand Doctor.
The Last-Stand Doctor will showcase the romance of two medical professionals who are thrown into a challenging environment on Pyeongdong Island. A plastic surgeon is assigned to the area as a public health doctor, while a nurse from a major university hospital also relocates to the remote island that everyone else tries to avoid.
The Last-Stand Doctor will begin airing in 2026 through the ENA channel. It will also exclusively air on KT Genie TV.

Lee Jae Wook will play the role of Do Ji Ui, a plastic surgeon who must overcome a personal trauma related to islands and the sea after being reassigned to work on Pyeongdong Island, a place he has every reason to avoid.
The actor shared, “I’m both worried and excited about my first time playing a doctor. I’m committed to doing my best with this new role and experience.”
Shin Ye Eun, on the other hand, will portray the role of Ha Ri, a mysterious nurse who works at a university hospital but has been transferred to Pyeongdong Island. While being on the island, she finally meets someone she wants to help.
The actress stated, “While attending the script reading, I realized how fun this drama will be. I want to do it with confidence.”
