The tvN drama Bon Appétit, Your Majesty concluded on September 28 with a heartwarming finale, reuniting Yoona’s Yeon Ji Young and Lee Chae Min’s Yi Heon in the modern era.
In the final episode, Ji Young sacrificed herself by taking Prince Jesan’s (Choi Gwi Hwa) sword strike in place of Heon. With her last words—“I love you, Your Majesty”—she lost consciousness, only to awaken in the present day. In the epilogue, Song Jae was revealed to be a conman, while Heon lovingly prepared bibimbap for Ji Young. When she teased, “It’s just bibimbap,” he retorted, “Just? This is the first bibimbap ever made by the King of Joseon. If you don’t want to eat it, then don’t.” Ji Young playfully replied, “I’ll eat it,” prompting Heon to personally feed her.
