On September 27, a teaser video titled “Shindong’s Dongdongpocha: Saying Everything I Probably Shouldn’t After a Drink” was released on the YouTube channel “The Roots Channel”.
In the clip, Shindong was seen chatting with Lee Si An, who asked him, “You got married, didn’t you?” while drinking. Shindong responded frankly, “I’m divorced now,” followed by a caption on screen reading (It’s a joke).
This revelation brought back memories of Shindong’s very public proposal 15 years ago. In 2010, Shindong appeared on SBS’s Strong Heart, where he openly shared that he was preparing to marry his then-girlfriend.

At the time, he confessed, “I haven’t yet told our parents that we plan to get married. I don’t have much, I’m not very old, nor extremely famous, but I want to take this chance to greet everyone.” He further revealed, “Honestly, we’re planning to have a formal meeting between families next week,” before delivering a heartfelt video proposal: “Will you stay with me forever and be happy? Please marry me.”
Despite the touching moment, the relationship ended in 2013.
More recently, in April, Shindong shared on SBS’s Dolsing Fourmen that he had broken up with his girlfriend of three and a half years in April last year. He confirmed he is currently single.
