Kim Woo Bin talks to reunite with 'Our Blues' director through new K-drama

Kim Woo Bin will reportedly star in a new K-drama, which will be directed by Kim Kyu Tae.

On October 2, media outlets reported that Kim Woo Bin is set to reunite with director Kim Kyu Tae in the upcoming tvN K-drama Gift

According to a representative of the actor, “Kim Woo Bin received the offer to star in the upcoming K-drama and he is positively considering it.” 

Gift will revolve around a baseball coach who gained extraordinary abilities after a fire accident. He then takes over and becomes a manager of an amateur baseball team. 

The upcoming K-drama will be the comeback work of director Kim Kyu Tae. He is best known for creating the K-dramas The Trunk, Our Blues, Live, Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, It’s Okay, That’s Love, That Winter, the Wind Blows, and more. He will also direct the upcoming series Notes from the Last Row

Filming for the K-drama Gift is reportedly set to begin early next year. Meanwhile, tvN has not yet confirmed a release date.

If Kim Woo Bin confirms his casting, this will be his reunion with director Kim Kyu Tae after four years. The two worked together in the 2022 series Our Blues. Kim Woo Bin starred alongside Lee Byung Hun, Shin Min Ah, Cha Seung Won, Lee Jung Eun, Uhm Jung Hwa, and Han Ji Min in the hit K-drama. 

Before Kim Woo Bin reunites with director Kim Kyu Tae, the actor will first greet viewers through the Netflix original K-drama Genie, Make a Wish. He will star alongside Bae Suzy, Ahn Eun Jin, Steve Noh, Ko Kyu Pil, and Lee Joo Young

Kim Woo Bin will also return to entertainment programs through GBRB: Joy Pops Laugh Pops. He will reunite with longtime friends Lee Kwang Soo and EXO’s Doh Kyung Soo in the upcoming show.
