Anna Yuan has attracted the attention of online bullies and trolls since appearing as a contestant on Love Is Blind Season 9. Since then, Yuan has lost 40 pounds, sparking renewed discussion online.
Reacting to the buzz, Yuan posted on her Instagram Stories, “Reminder that it’s weird as f— to message a person you don’t know to comment about their weight or physical appearance.” She continued, “Please, for the love of God, touch grass!”
Addressing her weight loss, the 28-year-old added, “Also, yes, I’ve lost about 40 lbs since filming. It’s not that deep and, again, you are weird [for commenting on it].”
Yuan had previously called out online critics after facing heavy comments for being “chubby.” She wrote on her Instagram Stories on October 2, 2025, “Hi friends, reminder that I am human — a human who has devoted her life to a craft to make other women feel beautiful. I have struggled with my weight since I was a little girl. For the first time in my life, I am proud of how healthy I am. I’m not a character. I’m a real human being just like you. Be kind. Love you all anyway.”
Yuan eventually left the show because she didn’t feel comfortable being vulnerable on camera. This may have also been influenced by the constant body-shaming she experienced.
