The Young and the Restless has added a new member to its ensemble cast — General Hospital actress Catherine Kresge, who will play Detective Annie Stewart. Kresge is the latest addition to the soap opera, which has recently seen some new names enter the fold, like Tamara Braun’s Sienna Bacall and Matt Cohen’s Detective Burrow. Moreover, Kresge’s casting comes months after it was revealed that Lucas Adams and Roger Howarth were joining the show as Noah and Mitch, respectively.

As mentioned above, General Hospital’s Catherine Kresge was recently added to The Young and the Restless’ cast as Detective Annie Stewart.
Kresge shared news of her casting on Instagram. “Beyond grateful and excited to be joining the wonderful folks at @youngandrestlesscbs as Det. Annie Stewart!” She wrote. “Massive thanks to @greg.salmon.casting for bringing me on board, and the entire Y&R fam that have been so welcoming and kind and fabulous to work with!”
Kresge is not a newcomer to the acting scene, as she boasts a decent resume of acting roles across television and film. Her film credits include Hello, My Name Is Doris, R.I.P.D., Fantastic Four, Devil’s Due, and A Good Day to Die Hard. She has also featured in the television shows Lucifer, S.W.A.T., and House, among others. Further, her acting portfolio also includes appearances in commercials for Xerox, Ponds, and AT&T.
Moreover, Catherine Kresge is not new to the soap opera world either. She previously appeared in All My Children as Sienna. She is an attorney who briefly dated Bianca but called off their relationship before it could progress after noticing the latter’s connection with Marissa. Kresge also guest-starred as Dr. Sawyer in an episode of General Hospital. Sawyer is a Beecher’s Corners physician who crossed paths with Elizabeth and Finn as the latter two tried to clear a malpractice charge against Finn.

Catherine Kresge will debut as Detective Annie Stewart on The Young and the Restless on November 20, 2025.
Kresge will appear in a recurring capacity as the LAPD investigates Noah Newman’s suspicious crash. Noah’s parents, Nick and Sharon Newman, have flown to Los Angeles to be by their son’s side as he recovers from his injuries.
