Warning! This article contains SPOILERS for Tulsa King season 3, episode 6.Agent Musso’s plan to use Dwight in Tulsa King season 3 makes absolutely no sense, and the latest episode proves it. Agent Musso has been terrorizing Dwight since he kidnapped him at the end of Tulsa King season 2. As we’ve recently learned, Musso wanted Dwight to work as essentially a criminal informant and help him take down Dexter Deacon, a bombmaker and terrorist.
That part of Musso’s plan makes sense: Deacon would be able to detect an undercover agent, but Dwight is a lifelong criminal who can play the part and has a reputation that precedes him. Musso’s plan has even been working so far, and he’s close to catching Deacon. Tulsa King season 3, episode 6, however, introduced a new element of Musso’s plan that makes absolutely no sense.
Agent Musso Kidnapped Bill Bevilaqua In Tulsa King Season 3
As Tulsa King season 3, episode 6 revealed, Agent Musso kidnapped Bill Bevilaqua. Bevilaqua had just accused Dwight of being a rat, and Musso had some of his agents kidnap him from his car. He even brought Bevilaqua to the same secret black site holding cell that he had Dwight in at the end of Tulsa King season 2. The only difference is, Musso doesn’t seem to know what he’s doing with Bill.
Musso clearly hasn’t announced that he’s apprehended the head of the Kansas City mob. Dwight and all of Bill’s men are trying to find him, and even Quiet Ray didn’t know where Bill had gone. A brief scene also showed Musso looking worried at having Bill in his detention facility, like he didn’t know what he was going to do with him.
Kidnapping Bevilaqua Does Nothing For Agent Musso, But It Sabotages Dwight
Agent Musso probably doesn’t know what he’s doing with Bill Bevilaqua because it makes no sense for his larger plan. Again, Musso wants to take down Dexter Deacon. It’s the whole reason he’s blackmailing Dwight, and Dwight is an integral part of the plan as the actual bait. Kidnapping Bill, however, only makes it harder for Dwight to get any dirt on Dexter Deacon.
Bill was already suspicious that Dwight was a rat, and after Musso kidnapped him, he’s probably completely convinced of it. That means that either Bill, once he gets out, or the rest of his gang are going to try to get revenge against Dwight, believing him to be the reason Bill got kidnapped. Musso was also already struggling to get Dwight fully focused on Deacon, and now he’s just given him even more distractions.

Why is Musso actively sabotaging the linchpin of his entire sting operation? What does he gain by kidnapping Bill Bevilaqua? The only logical decision I can see is that he also has dirt on Bill and wants to use him as another mole, but that seems unlikely. It seems like the only effect this kidnapping has had is making Dwight’s life harder, which directly undermines Musso’s main goal.
As of right now, it looks like Tulsa King season 3 had Musso kidnap Bill to artificially add drama and tension to Dwight’s story. There’s simply no good reason for Musso to have done that; it makes no sense. Now, the show has a way for Dwight and Bill to fight again, adding to his list of enemies and problems. Unless Tulsa King can think of a great explanation after the fact, Musso seems like an idiot.
