Lizzy Caplan Signs With United Talent Agency

EXCLUSIVE: Two-time Primetime Emmy nominee Lizzy Caplan has inked with UTA for representation in all areas, we’ve just learned.

Caplan can currently be seen in Netflix’s six-episode conspiracy thriller Zero Day opposite Robert De Niro, Jesse Plemons, Connie Britton and Dan Stevens.  

In 2022, she starred in the FX limited series Fleishman is in Trouble based on the Taffy Brodesser-Akner New York Times bestseller, for which Caplan was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress.

Other recent credits include the Paramount+ series Fatal Attraction, a reimagining of the 1987 feature thriller. Caplan stars as Alex Forrest (the role Glenn Close originated in the movie). Caplan also stars in the the Lionsgate thriller Cobweb, directed by Samuel Bodin.

Previously, Caplan starred opposite Michael Sheen in Showtime’s acclaimed drama series Masters of Sex for which she was nominated for an Emmy and a Critics Choice Award for Outstanding Lead Actress.  Additional TV credits include the second season of Hulu’s Castle Rock, on which she received rave reviews for her performance as a younger version of Annie Wilkes from the Stephen King novel and 1990 film Misery; the first season of the Apple TV series Truth Be Told opposite Octavia Spencer and Aaron Paul; Das Boot, a limited series sequel to the Wolfgang Petersen 1981 film; Ill Behaviour, a six-part BBC comedy thriller from writer Sam Bain (Peep Show); Party Down, a show that earned an AFI Award in 2009 and was named one of Time magazine’s Top 10 Shows of 2010; the voice of lead character in the animated comedy Inside Job on Netflix; as well as roles on The Class, Related, True Blood, New Girl and Judd Apatow’s cult classic Freaks and Geeks.

Caplan’s film credits include Lionsgate’s Now You See Me 2, which grossed close to $335 million worldwide’ the R-rated holiday comedy The Night Before opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen; The Interview with Rogen and James Franco; the sci-fi thriller Extinction starring opposite Michael Pena; Robert Zemeckis’ Allied with Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard; Save the Date (Sundance Film Festival 2012); Bachelorette (Sundance Film Festival 2012); Hot Tub Time Machine; JJ Abrams’ $172M-global grossing sci-fi hit Cloverfield; and her breakout role as Janice Ian in the original Lindsay Lohan movie Mean Girls.
