Shudder’s Creepiest Horror Show Unites 2 Horror Icons For The First Time

The creepiest horror TV show on Shudder is all set to release in a few days, and it will unite two horror icons for the first time on the small screen.

When it comes to overall viewership, Shudder remains a relatively small player compared to the streaming giants. However, it still has an incredible horror library that offers something for everyone. Interestingly, Shudder also happens to be the home of one of the creepiest and gripping found footage horror shows of all time.

The show in question had an incredible season 1 run when it first landed on the streaming service and ended up getting renewed for another installment. In only a few days, the series is all set to return with another compelling season. What makes its season 2 even more exciting is that it will feature a never-seen-before collaboration between two iconic horror actors.

Mark Duplass & David Dastmalchian Will Share The Screen In The Creep Tapes Season 2

The Creep Tapes season 2, which is scheduled to land on Shudder on November 14, 2025, will not only have Mark Duplass return as Peachfuzz but will also feature David Dastmalchian in one of its episodes. The new season’s trailer reveals that Dastmalchian will play a copycat version of Mark Duplass’ serial killer character, which means both characters will portray different versions of the same disturbed persona.

Check out the trailer below:

Although Mark Duplass has played several memorable roles on the big and small screens, it is hard not to associate him with the Creep franchise’s Peachfuzz. Since the first movie, he has brilliantly portrayed the twisted but somehow amicable. With David Dastmalchian now portraying the same character as an imitator, one cannot help but anticipate what he will bring to the table with his portrayal.

Dastmalchian’s last major horror movie role was in 2023’s Late Night With the Devil, which earned rave reviews from viewers and critics. The film still boasts an almost perfect Rotten Tomatoes score of 97%. The Creep Tapes now marks his return to found footage horror, and given his knack for embodying psychologically fractured characters, he seems like the perfect fit for the show.

The Creep Tapes Is One Of The Most Underappreciated Horror Shows On Streaming Right Now

Despite having a shoestring budget in almost every installment, the Creep franchise has consistently delivered chills and thrills. Owing to this, it has been able to garner a solid cult following. However, similar to the two Creep movies, Shudder’s The Creep Tapes remains underseen and underappreciated among horror fans.

It is one of the rare few found footage horror shows that almost invade a viewer’s personal space, making the experience of watching it uncomfortably intimate. With his incredible acting chops in Creep, Mark Duplass perfectly merges dark comedy with unsettling terrors, creating moments that feel both absurdly funny and bone-chilling.

Now that David Dastmalchian has also joined the Shudder show’s roster, horror fans have another solid reason to watch it.
