EXCLUSIVE: Angel Studios has locked a deal to acquire the IP rights to Tuttle Twins, Homestead, and The Wingfeather Saga, the three highest-performing franchises on the studio’s Angel streaming platform.
“These acquisitions represent strategic investments in Angel’s long-term growth,” Neal Harmon, Co-Founder and CEO of Angel, said in a statement.
The studio has said the three series, which span the family, thriller, and fantasy genres, have driven more than 4 million hours of viewing and 350,000 new Angel Guild memberships since December 2024. The Angel Guild is the studio’s grassroots membership program. Members pay dues and serve as virtual co-producers on every project from the studio. They are also given a say on which projects the studio pursues.
Angel said these three transactions were funded through a combination of cash and stock for a total aggregate price of $89 million.
Tuttle Twins is described as a family-focused animated series that explores complex ideas – such as freedom and responsibility – through adventure, humor, and heart. The series is the most-watched television series on the Angel platform. From Dec 2024 to Sept 2025, 124 million minutes of the show were watched on the Angel platform, the studio reported.
Homestead is described as a premium, post-apocalyptic thriller. The film, starring Neal McDonough, and season one of the television series, follow a fractured America struggling to survive after a nuclear blast. The franchise has racked up 81 million watched minutes. The studio has said nearly 1 in 8 minutes watched on its platform are tied to Homestead, and 253,000 new Guild memberships are tied to Homestead
The Wingfeather Saga is a hand-painted, 3D animated fantasy series based on Andrew Peterson’s books. The studio has said 40.3 million total minutes of the series were watched on the platform.
Harmon added: “Each franchise reflects the values that unite the Angel Guild and ranks among the most watched on our platform. By fully integrating them into Angel, we strengthen our competitive position and advance our mission to deliver value-driven storytelling at scale.”
Angel has released more than 40 films and 20 television series, including Sound of Freedom, which earned more than $250 million at the global box office. The studio recently reported that The Angel Guild has grown more than 500% year over year to 1.6 million paying members.
