Taylor Sheridan's Nine-Figure Paramount Revenue Generation Revealed

A new report reveals Taylor Sheridan‘s TV shows generated at least nine-figures for Paramount as the prolific creator prepares to exit the studio. Sheridan is gearing up to leave Paramount once his movie and TV deals expire at the end of 2028, having already signed a lucrative deal with NBCUniversal. His TV deal with them begins in January 2029.

Now, a report from TheWrap reveals that, since 2021, when he began producing Paramount+ originals for the studio, Sheridan’s shows have made Paramount over $800 million. This comes from streaming revenue based on subscriber numbers and engagement on the platform. His most lucrative shows have been Mayor of Kingstown and Tulsa King, drawing in $147.8 million and $146.3 million respectively.

In third place is, surprisingly, Yellowstone. While the first show Sheridan ever produced under Paramount’s umbrella is only available on Peacock in the United States, its global performance places it at $128.4 million in worldwide streaming revenue. The rest of the revenue came from Lioness, 1883, and 1923, with no data on Landman provided in the report.

This $800 million revenue is only going to grow. Mayor of Kingstown season 4 and Tulsa King season 3 are ongoing, with Landman season 2 set to premiere on Sunday, November 16. Lioness season 3 has also been confirmed, with filming beginning last month. In addition, Tulsa King season 4 was confirmed, alongside a Samuel L. Jackson-led spinoff, NOLA King.

Other new shows for streaming include the upcoming The Madison and The Dutton Ranch, two Yellowstone spinoffs currently in development for Paramount+. Y: Marshals, a show focused on Kayce Dutton, is premiering in Spring 2026 on CBS, but episodes will be available to stream after their linear TV premieres. There’s also future plans for 1944 and 6666, whose development stages remain unclear.

This massive amount of revenue puts into perspective Sheridan’s NBCUniversal deal, which is reported to be worth around $1 billion. The creator has turned Paramount+ into a powerhouse of a streaming service through his shows, in particular his two standalones with male leads focused on criminal organizations. It also makes his stories a major key to Paramount’s current streaming success.

While Sheridan still has three years left with the studio, his shows remain a powerhouse reason why Paramount’s streaming service has managed to become such a success. Without his creative input, it’s unclear if these shows would be pulling the same amount of revenue as they are, making it seem like his departure will deal a financial blow to Paramount+.
