A Recap of Episode 8 and What to Expect Next

Titled May I Offer You a Fist in Place of a Handkerchief?, Episode 8 reveals more secrets of the Dianist Church. Sigurd confirms to Scarlet that Pope Sargon has a spy watching Diana closely, and that there are actually two Saints. The other one is none other than Scarlet, our protagonist.

Since Diana doesn’t have her powers, they can’t restore the Gem’s barrier. Scarlet rewinds time on the Gem, but then another plot twist ensues. The Palmist Church reveals a Saint of their own, Terenezza, the woman who convinced Kyle, her ex-fiancé, to frame her for bullying and then stole him. She orders her guards to kill Scarlet.

The plot twists don’t end there, with Dios revealing himself to be the spy, Diana’s magic was also stolen by Palmia and given to Terenezza, and that Scarlet’s rival is actually her avatar, and is the reincarnated soul of a Japanese teenager named Teresa Himemiya. Chronoa then gives Scarlet a pocket watch to help retrieve Diana’s powers.

Episode 9, titled May I Explain That This is Not Something That Just Anyone Can Do?, will show Scarlet possibly struggling to figure out the pocket watch. It seems that getting back Diana’s powers won’t be quite that easy.
