Trump Targets NBC's Seth Meyers Again

After over two weeks, President Donald Trump circled back to Seth Meyers, the NBC host whom he called a “deranged lunatic.” This time, he is demanding his immediate termination because he has “TDS” (Trump Derangement Syndrome).

The NBC late-night host finds himself with a target on his back once again. The TV personality spoke about the massive number of controversies that popped up about him this past week. He commented on his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein and blamed him for the government shutdown. These remarks were not well-received by the president. And, as a result, he struck back in typical Trump fashion.

The President of the United States went on Truth Social and, once again, insulted the host’s talent and mental stability. He said his talk show was a “ratings disaster.” He also called Meyers’ “uncontrollable rage” a sign that he has an “incurable case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.” And, for all these reasons, he stated in his post that, “NBC should fire him IMMEDIATELY” because of this.

Now, FCC (Federal Communications Commission) Chairman Brendan Carr seemingly agrees with Trump’s sentiments. He took a screenshot of the president’s Truth Social post and shared it on his official X account. While he didn’t add any context to the image he posted, most people assumed that this was a sign of Carr agreeing with him and supporting the termination of Meyers.

Meyers isn’t the only TV personality who has been accused by either Trump or a White House official of having the infamous “TDS”. Karoline Leavitt, White House Press Secretary, declared that The View host, Ana Navarro, also had the syndrome after she criticized the way the Epstein files were being handled and Trump’s alleged potential involvement.

Some may even be surprised to discover that Trump has accused his own friends of having “TDS” during disagreements. During his feud with Elon Musk in June this year, the president suggested that the CEO of Tesla also suffered from it. He also claimed that the billionaire had lost his mind during their public disagreement and also threatened to deport him. The two have made amends since then.

Late Night with Seth Meyers airs weeknights at 12:35 AM and 9:35 PM PT on NBC.
