2025 has been an odd year, to put it delicately, especially when it comes to all the A-list and public figures’ love lives. 2025 was the year of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s split, of Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry getting together, and the year many think there’s something amiss in Vice President JD Vance and Second Lady Usha Vance’s marriage.

Okay, lil recap: the pair met at Yale Law School through their professor Amy Chua, and got married in 2014 in an interfaith marriage ceremony. They have since welcomed three children. And now, many think there’s an issue in their marriage after Usha was seen without her wedding ring.
In case you missed it, Usha went on a visit to the MV-22 Mega Hangar on Marine Corps Air Station New River with First Lady Melania Trump, on Nov 19. And all eyes were focused on the fact that she wasn’t wearing her wedding ring, which you can see in the photo below:

So, is this a red flag? She wore on Nov 8, 2025, at the Marine Ball at the Washington Hilton, but where is it now? Well, we have the mystery solved: she sometimes doesn’t wear it. While she didn’t wear it on the 19th, and it went super viral, she also didn’t wear it on Nov 10 while with JD at the Walter Reed Medical Center.
While she often always has it on her, and these latest, ringless outings have people questioning how their marriage is behind closed doors, it just seems like she opted out of wearing it. In fact, a spokeswoman for Usha told USA TODAY that she is “a mother of three young children, who does a lot of dishes, gives lots of baths, and forgets her ring sometimes.”
