Welcome to Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What happened on Days of our Lives
For months, we have suspected that the man who’s been walking around Salem claiming he is Tony DiMera is really Andre DiMera, back from the dead once again. First, his interest in the family company was unusual, as Tony had never really cared too much about that. Second, Tony didn’t typically use nefarious methods to get what he wanted before double-crossing someone, as the man calling himself Tony did with Gabi Hernandez. But the real clue came when he actually started praising Andre when alone with Kristen in the crypt. Tony and Andre were never friends. In fact, they were mortal enemies, so it made no sense to hear this man praising Andre — unless he is indeed Andre. Now, we know we saw Andre’s dead body after Abigail bludgeoned him to death (which created her alternate personalities), but that doesn’t mean anything on Days of our Lives when Dr. Rolf is always working on new and improved ways to bring someone back from the dead. It seems to be what he is working on now in another attempt to resurrect Stefano. That doesn’t explain why two DiMeras have been kidnapped and are being held in the family crypt (and a third will be joining them by the end of the week), but it does mean that things are not remotely as they seem with the man we have been calling Tony DiMera.
