At the poster launch of his new film Dangal Aamir Khan finally broke his silence on his friend(?) When asked to comment on the burning issue Aamir said, “I am going by the media reports, I feel what he(Salman) said was unfortunate and insensitive.”
In sharp contrast Shah Rukh Khan chose not to comment on the same issue a few days earlier. When asked to comment on the issue Shah Rukh had said, “In the last few years, I’ve come to realise that I’ve made so many inappropriate comments myself. I don’t think I am someone to sit in judgment for anyone else’s comment. It’s not about taking sides. I myself say so many things. Who are we to pass judgment, or to decide who should do what? Who has to do it, will decide themselves. Personally speaking, I don’t think I am anyone to make a comment on this. I’m so inappropriate myself. I’ve done some really wrong things too in the last two years.”
This was an articulate outpouring that didn’t say much on the issue.
However considering those who are speaking up are being ostracized by Salman Khan’s camp, Shah Rukh did the wise thing.
Kangana Ranaut who referred to the rape analogy as “insensitive” has been struck off Salman’s friends’ list.
Last heard she was desperately trying to call up Salman to “explain”
In the meanwhile at least on prominent film critic Raja Sen has decided to boycott Salman’s Sultan because of the rape remark.[tooltip type=”box” html=”Input Your Content Here” box_background_color=”#eeeeee” box_opacity=”0.95″ box_padding=”10″ box_border_color=”#3F3F3F” box_border_width=”1″ box_border_radius=”0″ id=”88b6af99531f838ed90aed058b7d870a” /][tooltip type=”box” html=”Salman Khan Bollywood Actor” box_background_color=”#eeeeee” box_opacity=”0.95″ box_padding=”10″ box_border_color=”#3F3F3F” box_border_width=”1″ box_border_radius=”0″ id=”c1b465420d07c688942ed18eadfd9f92″ /]
