Call it a bizarre coincidence. But most , if not all, the young actors and actresses whom Salman Khan has introduced on screen have flopped. In 2019 Salman launched Zahir Iqbal and Pranutan Bahl his home production Notebook. Their career went nowhere after their high-profile debut until recently when Pranutan has signed her second film, a low-budget film entitled Helmet co-starring Aparshkati Khurrana and produced by Dino Morea.
Then there is poor Sooraj Pancholi launched by Salman in Hero three years ago, still struggling after his second release , Satellite Shankar also flopped.
The latest in the long line of Salman Khan’s unlucky debutantes is Saaee Manjrekar, filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar’s daughter who landed herself a plum role in Dabangg 3. Though she has been appreciated for her performance even the most steadfast supporters of this deplorable film have commented on how ill-matched she looked with Salman.
Incidentally another Salman discovery Warina Hussain who made her debut opposite Salman’s bother-in-law Ayush Sharma(needless to say, he too flopped) in 2018’s Loveratri is back doing an item song with Salman in Dabangg 3.
There is a disturbing pattern of ill-fated careers here, and all those youngsters hovering around the Superstar in the hope of getting launched by him, better think again.
