ADOR has expressed its intent to continue taking strict legal action against those who infringe upon the rights of NewJeans.

On April 9, ADOR released the following statement regarding the ongoing legal proceedings against online defamation and unlawful activities targeting NewJeans.

Hello, this is ADOR.
We would like to inform you regarding our legal actions to protect the rights and interests of NewJeans.

Since NewJeans’ debut, our agency has been continuously monitoring and taking legal action against malicious online posts targeting the artists. Recently, with the rapid increase in both the volume and severity of malicious posts directed at the artists, we have appointed additional dedicated personnel and further strengthened our response system.

We are actively collecting evidence of serious rights violations on various online platforms and social media channels including DC Inside, Ilgan Best, Nate Pann, FM Korea, Naver, Blind, DogDrip, TheQoo, Ppomppu, X, YouTube, and more. These violations include defamation based on the artists’ nationality or appearance, the spread of false information (fake news), invasion of privacy, malicious insults, and the use of derogatory terms. Alongside promptly requesting the removal of such content, we are also pursuing legal procedures.

In particular, for malicious posts that are repetitive or severe enough to constitute criminal behavior, we are taking strong measures including filing criminal complaints. We have already submitted a complaint to the Yongsan Police Station and plan to continue filing additional complaints as necessary.

Furthermore, we are responding strictly to deepfake crimes, which have become a significant societal issue. We are closely cooperating with investigative authorities regarding the production and circulation of false video materials targeting the artists. In fact, a related suspect has already been detained and referred to the prosecution.

ADOR does not engage in settlements or show leniency under any circumstances when it comes to legal actions for the protection of our artists’ rights. We are committed to ensuring that perpetrators face appropriate punishment and are actively exploring and implementing additional measures that can be taken at the company level.

Your interest and reports are of great help in our legal efforts. We kindly ask for your active reports regarding any violations of the artists’ rights through the “HYBE Artist Rights Protection Reporting Site” (http://protect.hybecorp.com).

We are always grateful for the love and dedication of our fans, and ADOR will continue to work tirelessly to protect the rights and interests of our artists.

Thank you.
