Aishwarya Loses Bhansali’s Next For Gulab Jamun

Did Aishwarya Rai Bachchan lose the opportunity to work with her favourite director Sanjay Leela Bhansali again for the pleasure of sharing screen space with her husband in Anurag Kashyap’s next production?

A source in the know informs that Bhansali and Aishwarya were in “developed stages of discussion” over a  project when Anurag Kashyap offered Aishwarya Gulab Jamun with her husband Abhishek Bachchan in the lead.

Says the source, “The choice was very clear. Aishwarya had to choose between working with Bhansali again and sharing screen space with her husband Abhishek in Anurag Kashyap’s film, as the dates for both films clashed. Aishwarya chose to do the film with her husband. They haven’t worked together for eight years. But more importantly, both Abhishek and she have fabulous roles in Gulab Jamun. They play characters they’ve never played before.”
