Ajay Devgan’s Well-Timed Patriotism: Hits Out At Karan Johar On The Verge Of Release

Just when we thought Ajay Devgan’s Shivaay and Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil seemed to be  a fight between equals, Devgan has fired a master-stroke.

He has pulled out the patriotic card on the public forum,stating in no uncertain terms that country comes before anything else and he wouldn’t  welcome any artiste from across the border.Nor, said Devgan righteously in a television interview, would he work with a Pakistani actor .

While the interview has earned Devgan brownie points among all Indians,the timing of his patriotic outburst is a little ….shall we say…interesting.

Says a source in the know, “Both Karan Johar and Ajay Devgan have Diwali releases lined up.Karan’s Ae DilHai Mushkil is already in trouble because of Fawad Khan’s presence in the cast . Now Devgan’s Shivaay gets a clear edge this Diwali…and to drive in the point of his assuming a  morally higher ground Mr Devgan has also dropped  the shocker that his wife Kajol and  Karan Johar are no longer  close friends.That  leaves Mr Devganand Shivaay  smelling like roses this Diwali.”

All we can say is, it’s  all about winning  at any cost.
