With the Akshay Kumar starrer Bell Bottom being announced as a May 28 release, the chances of Sooryavanshi making it for its proposed April 2 release seems unlikely if not far-fetched.
Sources say Sooryavanshi is likely to be shifted to the second-half of 2021 specially since Nagarjuna’s big action film Wild Dog has been announced for April 2. That eliminates the entire Andhra-Telangana region , although Reliance Entertainment and Rohit Shetty plan to release a dubbed Telugu version of Sooryavanshi. Nonetheless the first preference of the Telugu audience would be their homegrown superstar Nagarjuna.
The decision to release Bell Bottom on May 28 comes as big setback to Sooryavanshi’s release plans, as it now seems unlikely that two big Akshay Kumar starrers will be released in two months during this Covid crisis when movie theatres have scarcely begun to limp back to normalcy.
