Even a monk must at some time relinquish the act of meditation. Known to be always calm pleasant and friendly with the public, Alia Bhatt found herself losing her cool the other day when a group of fans chased her down to her gym demanding pictures with her.
To rewind to the beginning of the drama that ensued about a week ago, Alia came down from her apartment to the ground level to find the usual crowd of expectant fans waiting for a deedar of their darling diva.
Says an eyewitness, “Alia smiled and waved as usual. But begged off being clicked as she was getting late. When she rushed off to the gym in her car, the fans followed her to the gym in the hope of getting the picture at the gym. This is when Alia understandably lost her cool and told he security to intervene.”
I had asked Alia about fan attention in another context and this is what she had to say: “I love the attention. I love clicking pictures with my fans, interacting with them. But there are times when you want to be left alone, like when you are coming out of a restaurant after a meal with the family…Fans, if they really love you, need to respect your need for space when needed.”
