Alia Bhatt,Have Power Must Use

Recently the phenomenally successful Alia Bhatt was seen supporting and promoting the small relevant film No Fathers In Kashmir which starred her mother Soni Razdan.

Alia says she would have supported the film even if it didn’t star her mother. “I believe if I have a voice I must have been given that voice for a reason. And I had better use it for the right purpose. A film like No Fathers In Kashmir has something that needs to be said and heard. If I can carry its message forward I would feel I am doing what I am meant to.”

Speaking of her fan base she says, “Even before Raazi and the other things happened to my career I’d look at the number of followers I had on Instagram and think of how much I can influence people who follow me.”

I tell her she could have played the Kashmiri protagonist in No Fathers In Kashmir.

Alia disagrees. “The girl Zara Webb is so good. I’d never want to take her place.”

Unknown to the world Alia keeps supporting causes that she believes in. It has now come to light that Alia was funding many of the late filmmaker Kalpana Lajmi’s bills when she was lying critically in hospital.

Says a source close to Alia’s mother, “Soni Razdan was Kalpana Lajmi’s best friend. Soni did all she could to pay Kalpana’s medical bills. Some notable names came forward to provide financial help. But the funds soon dried up.This is where Alia stepped in.She paid whatever required quietly.”

When asked about her generosity Alia says, “It is not about generosity. It is about using what you have been given for the right purposes. I am sure there are many girls in this country who are more talented and better looking than me. Why am I chosen for this special success? There has to be reason.”
