Alia “I Couldn’t Ask For More”

All of the Andhra film industry was buzzing for months with rumours of Alia Bhatt having signed Rajamouli’s Telugu-Hindi bi-lingual RRR .

And now director himself has confirmed that it is indeed Alia who will share the marquee with Ramcharan Teja and NTR Jr in RRR.

It took some convincing from mentor and godfather Karan Johar for Alia to do a Telugu film as she doesn’t know the language. But what better gift can she hope to get on her birthday on March 15?

The girl is on top of the game right now. Every film that has done or is doing has ‘blockbuster’ written on it. This year she already has a superhit Gully Boy to her credit and now it’s time for the Karan Johar produced Kalank in April to be followed by Rajamouli’s film .

Says Alia, “I agree I can’t hope for anything more. I have it all. It’s scary when people keep reminding me of how much I have(achieved). Because honestly no amount is enough. Of course I am working with the directors who are THE BEST. But I am still looking for more.”

Any dream roles? “Well, I wanted to do a full on masala film with singing dancing action drama…you name it. I have done that in Kalank. I want to do an out-and-out comedy. Not the slapstick kind. But a more refined comedy .I think I’ve a comic sense.”

Now that she’s working with every major director in the country, anyone on her wishlist?

“I admire so many. I would love to work Mr Bhansali and I am waiting to be directed by my father(Mahesh Bhatt). That for me would be the ultimate wish-fulfilment,” says Alia.
