“Love Island USA” is back for Season 7, and fans could not be happier! The latest installment premiered on June 3 at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT on Peacock, as viewers watched hopefuls travel to a picturesque destination in Fiji (where the last two seasons have been filmed) in their attempt to find love. What To Expect From ‘Love Island USA’
A new episode of Love Island USA airs every night, except Wednesdays, and the show is expected to last for around five weeks. The fast pace of the series ensures that audiences will not be bored, and every episode is likely to bring drama.
Hosted by reality TV star Ariana Madix and narrated by Iain Sterling, Season 7 is already off to an interesting start. Who are the daters? The OG daters for this season are: Chelley Bissainthe, Huda Mustafa, Olandria Carthen, Belle-A Walker, Yulissa Escobar, Nicolas Vansteenberghe, Austin Shepard, Taylor Williams, Ace Greene, and Jeremiah Brown.
Who Has Been Dumped On ‘Love Island USA’
New contestants to enter the house are Cierra Ortega, Hannah Fields, Amaya Espinal, and Charlie Georgiou. And “Love Island USA” has already said goodbye to its first contestant: Belle-A Walker. On the June 8 episode, Nicolas Vansteenberghe could not decide between Belle-A and Cierra Ortega, but ultimately chose Cierra.
Yulissa Escobar has also exited the villa after controversial clips of her using inappropriate language resurfaced on social media. She has since released a statement on Instagram about “Owning my mistakes speaking my truth.”
The casting of Ace Greene and Chelley Bissainthe also came with an unexpected surprise: they already knew each other. When Ace entered the villa with Nicolas, Chelley immediately recognised him. “Wait, wait, wait. This can’t be real life,” Chelley said. “I do know Chelley. I met her in New York, actually. Outside of the club,” Ace shared, NBC reports.
But did they date outside the villa? Well, no. However, this was due to logistics, as Chelley is based in Orlando, and Ace is based in Los Angeles. Now that they are in the same place at the same time, anything can happen, and Chelley has already shared that she is interested in finding out if there could be anything between them.
The Drama Has Started
In a clip that was shared on the “Love Island USA” Instagram on June 11, Austin shows his vulnerable side with Chelley, telling her that seeing her with Ace makes him “feel weird.” Fans are praising Austin as being the right choice for Chelley because he is respectful toward her and speaks positively about her when she’s not around.
Ace has confirmed he has a connection with Chelley, but Amaya is furious with him and accused him of saying he was “open to making connections.” And Huda and Jeremiah have already had words because she was upset with him, and what the guys said got into his head.
