Apoorva Lakhia changes Dubai To Bangkok For Dawood Bio-Pic Due To Threats

Director Apoorva Lakhia is quietly shooting  for his bio-pic on Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar. While Shradha Kapoor plays Haseena, Shradha’s brother Siddhant has been roped in to play the role of Haseena’s brother Dawood.

Unfortunately the location of the shooting had to be shifted from Dawood’s alleged home-town in Dubai to Bangkok.

Says a source close to the project, “There was  a fair amount of risk involved in shooting in Dubai for the Dawood portions.The team decided it was better to not shoot in Dubai at all. They shifted the location to Bangkok which will now be passed off as Dubai in the film.”

Fudging locations is a normal procedure in Bollywood . In Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Hum…Dil De Chuke Sanam Prague was passed off as Italy. In the new Devgn release Shivaaythe Bulgarian mountain peaks masquerade as the Himalayas.
