Ashwini Iyer Tiwari Speaks For The First Time On Her Alia Project

It’s a full-on comedy for Alia next.For a very long time she has been searching for a chance to get seriously funny on screen.

In an interview with this writer last year Alia had said, “I am really looking out for script that would give me a chance to do comedy.Something really funny and wacky.”

Looks like the Gods have been listening in.

The comedy in Alia’s career is happening finally. And the helmer is none other than the super-talented super-savvy Ashwini Iyer Tiwari.

Speaking on her film with Alia for the first time Ashwini says, “It’s happening next year. I am very happy and filled with gratitude with the story that I’ll doing with Alia. Without doubt Alia will light up the screen with her acting prowess, besides the nicest human being she is. Will be an added perk.”

Interestingly in her career of six years this would be Alia’s fourth film with a female director after Dear Zindagi(Gauri Shinde), Raazi(Meghna Gulzar) and Gully Boyz(Zoya Akhtar).

Come to think of it, Alia had started her career as a child with a female director Tanuja Chandra in Sungharsh where she had played Preity Zinta as a child.
