Baabul Supriyo Gets A Chartbuster This Christmas

Singer-politician-minister  Baabul Supriyo has never beemhappier. His new  IndiePop Song *#SHAYERA* presented by #9XMedia & #SpotlampE, has turned  into  a goldmine, and rightly so. It’s a song about love with lyrics which,  for a change, make sense. The tune has an undulating amiable hook that sinks deep into the listeners’ heart transporting them to a time when love ballads were a  rule, not an exception and to lulling listeners  to be transported  into happier times when love and togetherness were not  suppressed by  a  fear of the current contagion.

Baabul has sung memorable  love song in the past , the most cherished being  Saanson  ko saanson mein  dhalnedo zara from the  film Hum  Tum.

“I’ve always enjoyed singing  songs about love . I am not surprised  by the success  of my new song Shayera. Given the  traumatic times  that we  are  going through everyone   needs  a healing touch . I  think Shayera  provides that,” confesses Baabul.

He would  love to sing more , if only he had  the time. “Being a  cabinet minister I  hardly get  time with my parents, wife  and  daughter. Singing is  my first love. But family comes first.Whatever time I get  to spare from my political work I  spend with the family. Gaana toh merijaan.Aur main kahin bhi rahun kuch bhi karun zindagimein gaate rahunga,” says Baabul emotionally.

Baabul’s singing career  has  the Prime  Minster NarendraMaodiji’s blessings.

“Our Prime  Minister  is  a connoisseur of the  arts. He encourages me  to sing .I am hugely encouraged  by  the  success  of  Shayera.  I  never expected  my listeners  to respond with such enthusiasm  to  my  new song. Of course it came  straight  from the heart. Good  intentions can  never go to waste,” says Baabul confidently.
