‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Changes Revealed So Far

Season 10 of ABC’s “Bachelor in Paradise” is almost here—and this time, the roses come with a twist.
The fan-favorite spinoff of “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” returns on Monday, July 7 at 8 p.m. ET, with major format and casting changes that are already stirring up buzz online.
Season 10 Location Change and Cast Surprises
For the first time, the reality dating show will trade its iconic Sayulita, Mexico beach setting for a luxury resort in Costa Rica.
ABC confirmed the show’s new filming location in an official announcement and unveiled a fresh cast lineup featuring a mix of familiar Bachelor Nation favorites and surprise additions from “The Golden Bachelor” and “The Golden Bachelorette,“ Leslie Fhima and Gary Levingston.
Among the most buzzed-about names is Dale Moss, who made waves when he got engaged to Clare Crawley during Season 16 of “The Bachelorette.” Katherine “Kat” Izzo also returns after a fiery run on both “The Bachelor” Season 27 and “Bachelor in Paradise” Season 9. She’s joined by Season 27 standout Jess Girod, whose playful housewives-inspired tagline reads: “I don’t kiss, I smoochy poo.”
In a press release, ABC teased the upcoming season as one that’s “raising the bar on romance, with every detail perfectly shaken, stirred and sparkling.” Jesse Palmer returns as host, with Wells Adams back behind the bar, and fan favorite Hannah Brown joining as the newly appointed “Head of Paradise Relations,” overseeing a fresh addition called the Champagne Lounge.
Behind the Scenes
While ABC has remained tight-lipped about the plot, Bachelor Nation insiders say drama is brewing behind the scenes. On a June 3 episode of “The Rush Hour Podcast,” Bachelor podcaster Dave Neal shared: “As far as paradise goes, I heard a rumor today, I’m going to keep it vague, that someone had a horrible experience in that it was nothing like they had hoped it would be, and that it’s gonna be a pretty big s–t show of a season.”
Reality Steve, known for his accurate Bachelor spoilers, agreed, saying, “I heard rumblings of the show not going well, but didn’t have anything concrete.” He also noted that for the first time in years, he hasn’t received any spoiler intel—even though filming wrapped weeks ago.
“I usually hear like, literally, the day after filming ends,” he said. “I would put it out there on Twitter, ‘These are the engaged couples this season, here’s who got to the end, here’s who broke up.’ I got nothing this year as of right now.”
The change in filming location may be part of what’s fueling the shift in dynamics. “This just looks like more of a Netflix show,” Reality Steve said, referencing sleek production photos. “There’s nothing about that, when I looked at those pictures, that said, ‘Wow, that’s Bachelor in Paradise.’”
Whether the shake-ups help or hurt the beloved franchise remains to be seen, but Season 10 is already shaping up to be one of the most unpredictable yet.
