Will Jugjugg Jeeyo break the Bhool Bhulaiya spell on the bxoffice? The audience seems to be in the mood for laughter. The more serious stuff, they are happy to watch at home.
Explains Anees Bazmee, “Comedy is a very collective genre. You can cry at home alone. But for laughter, you need company.A good comedy will always get an audience.”
The success of Bhool Bhulaiya2 indicates a way ahead at the boxoffice for theatrical releases: laughter and action, preferably both together, are the USPs that audiences are looking for.
Speaking on his special affinity to the comedy genre, Kartik Aaryan says, “Laughter is the best medicine for everyone. See, life has its own patterns of ups and downs and if one knows how to keep a smile and sail through it, then smile and laughter indeed serves as a medicine. This medicine is compulsory for everyone and Bhool Bhulaiya 2 gives you this laughter-medicine dose in abundance. I have always loved doing comedy, I started my journey with Pyaar Ka Punchnama, which was a refreshing comedy, today it’s considered a cult comedy . Comedy is something I started with and I feel most at home with.”
Roshan Singh, a prominent film exhibitor of Bihar feels the laughter challenge is the best bet for filmmakers. “The success of Bhool Bhulaiya 2 shows people want to go to theatres to laugh. After Bhool Bhulaiya 2 I see the same potential in Jugjug Jeeyo at the boxoffice. The trailer had the people falling off their chairs. The cast of Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani is very charming. In fact Kiara has already been appreciated in the comic genre in Bhool Bhulaiya2. In addition Jugjugg Jeeyo has Karan Johar and Dharma Productions’ ISI mark.It cannot fail.”
