BLACKPINK’s Solo Stages Take Over Coachella 2025

BLACKPINK’s Lisa and Jennie lit up the 2025 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California with their electrifying solo performances, making their third Coachella appearances this time as solo artists.
Lisa Makes Waves at Coachella 2025
Lisa returned to the stage on both April 11 and 18, turning heads in a bold, reptile-inspired red bodysuit designed by Asher Levine. Levine described the look to CNN as “creature couture representing a reptilian villain.” Embodying the fierce “villain” concept, Lisa delivered powerful renditions of her hits like “Rockstar” and “Moonlit Floor,” captivating the audience with her charisma and fearless energy—even powering through a moment when her in-ear monitor fell out.

On April 22, Lisa took to her social media to thank her team and fans: “Thank you for an amazing two weeks at Coachella. I felt so much joy sharing this stage and I couldn’t be happier to have done it with the best team. We did it!”
Jennie Sets a Record at Coachella 2025
Jennie, meanwhile, made history as the first K-pop solo artist to perform on Coachella’s iconic Outdoor Theatre stage on April 21. She performed 13 songs, including her title track “Like Jennie,” mesmerizing the crowd from start to finish.
A standout moment came during her emotional performance of “Starlight,” a tribute to her mother. Mid-performance, Jennie turned to the crowd and said, “I love you, Mom,” bringing many, including herself, to tears. “Thank you for coming to my show today. I’ll never forget this night. I love you all so much,” she said.

Lisa and Jennie’s deep connection with Coachella dates back to 2019 when BLACKPINK became the first K-pop girl group to perform at the festival. In 2023, they returned as Coachella’s first Asian headliners. Their solo returns in 2025 mark the duo’s third appearance at the prestigious festival.
Their performances drew overwhelming praise from international media, with headlines calling their acts “beyond K-pop.” Lisa amassed over 6.1 million social media mentions during the festival—surpassing even Beyoncé’s past records. Jennie was the only K-pop act featured in Billboard’s “Hot Performances of Coachella Week 1.” The term “#Jenchella” also dominated X (formerly Twitter), trending worldwide in the top two spots.
As BLACKPINK prepares to embark on a new world tour in July, Lisa and Jennie have once again proven their unmatched global star power.
