On September 23, the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute announced the results of its brand reputation analysis for actors. Between August 23 and September 23, the institute analyzed 144,869,968 pieces of big data related to 100 actors appearing in dramas, films, and OTT projects. The rankings were determined based on consumer participation, media coverage, communication, and community engagement.
With the expansion of the OTT market, the scope of actor brand reputation analysis has also broadened, covering both film and drama actors across traditional and digital media platforms.
In this month’s results, Lee Chae-min, who plays the tyrant Yi Heon in tvN’s weekend drama Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, secured first place. Starring alongside Im Yoon-ah, Lee Chae-min has captivated audiences with a performance that balances both romantic charm and comedic flair, driving ratings growth. The drama reached a nationwide rating of 15.8% (Nielsen Korea, paid platforms) with its 10th episode on September 21, solidifying its status as a major hit.
By rising to No.1, Lee Chae-min outshined industry veterans such as Lee Byung-hun, Lee Jin-wook, and Ma Dong-seok, further confirming his place as one of the most in-demand actors of the moment.
Koo Chang-hwan, director of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, explained, “Lee Chae-min’s meticulous emotional acting in Bon Appétit, Your Majesty drew tremendous consumer interest, placing his brand at the top. Meanwhile, Lee Byung-hun, who continues to demonstrate undeniable charisma, ranked second, and Choo Young-woo, who has been building explosive fan loyalty, came in third.”
The September Top 10 Actor Brand Reputation Rankings are: Lee Chae-min, Lee Byung-hun, Choo Young-woo, Lee Jin-wook, Ma Dong-seok, Gong Myung, Bang Hyo-rin, Kang Han-na, Jang Dong-yoon, Uhm Jung-hwa.
