Brahmastra Budget Being Downsized?

Never thought Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions would have  to economize, did you? But the times are tough. And even Karan Johar  is facing the crunch. We  hear  he has asked his blue-eyed director Ayan Mukerjee to cut down  the budget of their proposed futuristic  thriller Bhahmastra  from the proposed 110 crore rupees  to around 90 crores.

A  source close to the development says, “The  principal cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have been  paid their market price. The movie had set aside approximately Rs 70 crores for  the production. However  with both Karan Johar’s self-directed Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and his just-released production Ittefaq under-performing at  the boxoffice  it is time for some serious re-think regarding what was meant to be the original budget for Brahmastra.”

Not that the cost-cutting will show.

“Nothing drastic  or obvious. The technical team would be  trimmed down and no one will know,” whispered  a source close to the development.
