Bravo Star Compliments Ex-Wife’s Boyfriend

Former “Vanderpump Rules” star Tom Schwartz shared complimentary words about his ex-wife, Katie Maloney‘s boyfriend, musician Nick Martin.

Maloney, who divorced Schwartz in 2022, was a guest on the April 22 episode of his podcast, “Detox Retox with Tom Schwartz.” While recording the episode, Schwartz confirmed that he met Martin and proceeded to speak highly of him.

“He’s awesome. By the way, nothing but great things to say about him,” said Schwartz to his ex-wife.

Maloney seemed amused by her ex-husband’s appreciation for her boyfriend. In addition, she shared that Martin and Schwartz “follow each other” on Instagram.

While recording Schwartz’s podcast, Maloney shared how she began dating Martin. She said she became friends with him “a year ago,” while he was “seeing someone” else. Maloney said after Martin and his ex-girlfriend broke up in the summer of 2024, she began spending more time with him.

“Him and I started hanging out more. Talking more. And it went from being friends to being more,” said Maloney during the podcast interview.

Tom Schwartz Said He Was Happy for Katie Maloney

While speaking to Page Six in November 2024, Schwartz said he was happy that Maloney had a boyfriend.

“I love to see her just thriving,” said Schwartz to the publication.

Schwartz also said that he and his ex-wife, who were together for 12 years, are in a better place. According to Schwartz, “there’s no friction or tension” between them.

“I feel like me and Katie are in a really good place again. We’re buddies. We’re not BFFs. I don’t want to overhype it. But yeah, we’re cool,” said Schwartz during the Page Six interview.


Tom Schwartz Said He Is Single in April 2025

Schwartz confirmed he is single during an April 2025 interview with Access Hollywood.

“I’m not dating. I’m not dating anybody. I’m just hanging out,” said Schwartz to the publication.

He also suggested he was not concerned about his love life.

“Listen, love seems to find me when I’m not looking for it. I’ve been pretty fortunate with that,” said Schwartz.

He also told Access Hollywood that he no longer has “commitment issues.”

While speaking to Maloney on the April 22 episode of his podcast, Schwartz said he “feel[s] well-equipped” for dating because of their marriage. According to Schwartz, Maloney helped him improve his behavior.

“I’m such a better listener. And when someone is having a bad moment, it doesn’t trigger my fight or flight anymore. I let people vent, I listen,” said Schwartz during the podcast episode.
